Central Florida Chapter of NIGP
The Central Florida Chapter of NIGP works to promote and support the professional development of its diverse membership and strives to maintain the highest standard of ethics, integrity, public trust and awareness in the public procurement profession.
Founded in 1987 with 50 members as the 52nd NIGP chapter, annual membership has grown steadily and has allowed the chapter to establish and mentor three additional Florida chapters at the farthest points of the area we serve in the middle Florida region.
The chapter meets bi-monthly (see our current meeting schedule); each meeting includes lunch, a guest speaker whose remarks deal with public procurement, and a business meeting. During the holiday season, a member-supported food drive provides donations to a local food bank and to other local agencies in need of assistance.
Annually, member agencies convene for a chapter-sponsored reverse trade show where local and regional vendors have a unique opportunity to meet and network with public purchasing representatives from throughout central Florida. Profits from the event are used to operate the chapter and to fund scholarships for the ongoing professional development of the membership.
We hope to see you at a future meeting. For information on joining the chapter, click here.
